They are adjustable due to the addition of at least one extra jump ring which allows the lobster claw to clasp at various points throughout the chain so it can be worn at different lengths.
Can you change a necklace’s size?
To wear your adjustable chain necklace at a smaller length, simply hook the lobster claw clasp through the jump ring that is further down the chain. If you’d like to wear your necklace at a looser adjustment, close the lobster claw clasp at the jump ring that’s at the very end of the chain.
