What are the different diamond color grades?
The GIA diamond color grades range from D (colorless) to Z (yellow or brown). At Blue Nile, we only carry grades D through K.
Are F color diamonds good?
F color diamonds are considered colorless and are the third-best grade of colorless diamonds, making them a popular choice. They're also more economical than D and E color-grade diamonds.
Can you tell the difference between D, E, and F color grades?
A gemologist can tell the difference between these three color grades, but you won't be able to tell the difference with the naked eye.
How do F diamond color prices compare with D and E diamond color prices?
In general, F color diamonds are less expensive than D and E color diamonds, although diamond price depends on other factors as well, like the cut and clarity.
Is color more apparent in certain shapes and sizes?
