F Color Diamonds

Looking for a colorless diamond that’s budget-friendly? The F color grade is a great choice. This is the lowest of the three colorless diamond grades, which makes it the most economical way to enjoy that sparkly, icy look. F-grade stones account for 20 percent of diamonds sold at Blue Nile. As you shop for F color grade diamonds, consider a white gold or platinum setting to enhance that colorless, icy tone.

FAQs about F Color Diamonds

The GIA diamond color grades range from D (colorless) to Z (yellow or brown). At Blue Nile, we only carry grades D through K.

F color diamonds are considered colorless and are the third-best grade of colorless diamonds, making them a popular choice. They're also more economical than D and E color-grade diamonds.

A gemologist can tell the difference between these three color grades, but you won't be able to tell the difference with the naked eye.

In general, F color diamonds are less expensive than D and E color diamonds, although diamond price depends on other factors as well, like the cut and clarity.

Diamonds larger than one-carat weight will show more color than smaller stones. There are also certain shapes, like round diamonds, that make it easier to see color. Many of the fancy cut diamonds will pool color at the poles—especially elongated cuts like marquise, pear, and oval.

F Color Round Diamond Review

The ring is gorgeous and the diamond is even better. I went with an ideal astor, color F, .56 carat, VSI clarity. I would suggest calling before ordering a ring as they give you information not on the website. For example, this ring comes in three sizes to fit the diamond size. I went with the smallest size and the setting still makes the ring look big. I can't wait to order another ring with a bigger diamond!

F Color Marquise Diamond Review

Quality, Value and oh did I mention she said YES!

I scoured the internet, took recommendations from friends(local jewelers and diamond sales people) and no one came close to the type of quality and high levels of 4 C's for the price. The ability to also customize the ring to fit your individual style and budget is second to none. Since recieving the ring and proposing I have recommended Blue Nile to all of my friends and friends of friends who have started their search. I've told them don't waste your time, I have done the digging and you will not beat Blue Nile.
