I had the diamond put into a cheap band for safe keeping until I put it into a custom made ring a few months down the road. I still need to purchase two more diamonds for this custom ring which I will be purchasing from Blue Nile in the future. Exceptional hardly descibes your service. It looked beautiful. It makes the setting sparkle much more. It sits low enough on the band that it doesn't catch anything. My fiance loves it.

At first I was apprehensive about buying a ring online however, I read a lot of positive things about Blue Nile and decided to give it a shot. When I opened the ring the cut and clarity far exceeded my expectations. I know I never would've gotten such a nice ring for even double the money at a chain jeweler. I will be buying a wedding band from them in the coming months as well!

Let me start by saying the diamond I received from Blue Nile was beautiful and a fantastic value. Unfortunately, the setting left much to be desired. The metal basket surrounding the emerald cut diamond was extremely thick and misshapen. It covered up the diamond and made the ring look cheap. Because I did not want to deal with the hassle of mailing the ring back to Blue Nile, I had a local jeweler change the setting to a similar classic solitaire setting that allows the diamond's beauty to be seen. I am much happier with the work done by the local jeweler. Bottom line: great diamond, poor quality setting.

I could only afford diamonds in the 1/4 to 3/8 range and bluenile allowed me to get the absolute best diamond I could for the money... believe me I looked EVERYWHERE else. The diamond is very pretty and the petite band it is on makes the diamond seem a little larger. Thanks!
