We will ship orders under $25,000 to APO and FPO addresses via USPS priority mail. The arrival times listed are for U.S. addresses and do not generally apply to APO and FPO addresses.
For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:
Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard. In addition, American Express can be used in British Pounds.
: Arrange payment through your bank and receive a 1.5% discount. Bank wire payments are accepted on orders of $750 or more.
Policy on Debit Cards
A debit card is treated differently than a credit card by your bank. A debit card is much like a credit card in that it may display a credit card company logo, like Visa or MasterCard, but a charge to your debit card uses funds directly from your bank account. The biggest difference is that your bank may institute a daily charge limit on your debit card. If the price of your order exceeds a daily limit set on your debit card we will notify you, as this will prohibit us from processing your order.
As an alternative, you can:
Continue your order via wire transfer and receive a 1.5% discount. A wire transfer is a simple process of contacting your bank to have funds moved from your bank to ours and is available for orders of $750 or more. It works on the same principle as your debit card, but requires some direct communication with your bank to allow for a larger transaction. We'll send you the easy instructions. It may require a few days for your bank to transfer your funds.
Continue your order using a credit card. If you order before noon, your order will begin processing today.
Contact your bank and request a one-time waiver of the daily charge limit.
Gift Certificate Policies
Our Blue Nile gift certificates may only be purchased and redeemed in US dollars. Gift certificates are sent immediately to the recipient through email. Once the recipient receives the gift certificate, it can be used immediately on bluenile.com.
For security purposes, when you redeem your gift certificate online, we require that you use a credit card. This helps us ensure your identity, and protects against fraudulent use of your gift certificate. Your credit card will not be charged unless your order total exceeds the amount of your gift certificate. If you do not wish to use a credit card to redeem your gift certificate, call customer service at 001-206-336-7905.
Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash, cannot be returned for a cash refund, and are not transferable. Any unused portion will remain available for future purchases under the same Gift Certificate Number. Blue Nile is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. At any time, you can view your gift certificate balance.
Blue Nile gift certificates are redeemable only at www.bluenile.com. Certificate cash value is, 1/10 of one cent. Gift certificates and unused portions expire on the date listed on your printed gift certificate, or the date listed in your gift certificate e-mail (does not apply to California or where prohibited by law).
Alternate Shipping Addresses
If you prefer, we can ship your order to an address other than your billing address. As a security precaution, we require that your alternate shipping address be on file with your credit card company. This step helps protect you from fraudulent charges to your credit card.
Currently, sales tax is only collected on orders shipped to addresses in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington DC, Washington State, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
To help ensure you make the right choice, we offer a very flexible return policy.
