Sean Kell – Chief Executive Officer

Sean is a seasoned leader who is charged with driving Blue Nile’s strategic vision and continuing to elevate the company’s modern approach to purchasing handcrafted diamond rings and exquisite jewelry online. Before joining Blue Nile in 2019, Sean served as Chief Executive Officer of A Place for Mom, where he was responsible for overall brand management and business expansion. Sean has a proven track record of building successful businesses in ecommerce, digital innovation and product management across leading online retail organizations including Expedia, Hotels.com and Starbucks. Sean has also held various roles at McKinsey and IBM. Sean holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Sean is an avid skier and golfer, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Dominique Bourgault – Chief Financial Officer

Dom brings two decades of finance leadership in high-growth, complex, and global e-commerce businesses to his role at Blue Nile. Before joining the company in March 2020, Dom served as CFO of the portfolio and retail business units at Expedia Group, which included Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, Hotwire, Wotif, and several other full-service travel websites, together forming the largest division of the company. Dom was responsible for the overall financial direction of the division and for designing modern and agile performance-analysis and decision-making processes in a highly dynamic and competitive environment. Dom joined Expedia Group in 2002 via the acquisition of the startup Newtrade Technologies where he was leading the finance function, and then moved through various financial leadership roles of increasing scope across the company’s divisions and functions, with roles in Canada, the US, and London, UK. Prior to Newtrade, Dom worked at Ernst & Young and the Desjardins Group in Montreal, Canada. Dom holds a B.B.A. from HEC Montreal and is a Canadian CPA. Dom loves the Pacific Northwest and enjoys spending time cycling, skiing, hiking and playing tennis with his wife and three children.

Camille Cleveland – General Counsel

Camille Cleveland is responsible for Blue Nile’s legal and trade compliance teams. Camille has over three decades of general counsel experience with a diverse background of industries including retail, tech, e-commerce and consumer-branded goods. Camille has participated in major acquisitions and dispositions during her career. Her extensive experience and collaborative approach make her a critical executive team member who helps drive strategy, leverage business opportunities and cultivate workplace diversity across the organization. Camille graduated from Wayne State Law School and Albion College in Michigan. Her passions include travel, rescue dogs, history and, of course, diamonds.

Dave Fleischman – Chief Growth Officer

As an executive leader, Dave is responsible for setting and executing the new vision for the Blue Nile experience. He is a transformational leader with 20+ years of product management, marketing and technology leadership experience at companies including Expedia, Microsoft and Apple. Dave contributed to more than 20 patents and filings in mobile, big data, media, and e-commerce. His career approach is applying a deep understanding of customer needs through a focused analysis and listening system while building strong team dynamics to build delightful customer experiences. Dave holds a degree in English from University of California Santa Barbara and he has written several novels. He also notes that his very first job in technology was making color copies.

Michael Hopkins – VP, Sales and Service

Michael is an experienced leader responsible for Blue Nile’s global sales and service teams. Before joining Blue Nile in 2019, Michael led inside and outside sales teams in both the B2B and B2C space in a wide variety of industries. He is well-versed in building great teams, growing sales, and delivering exceptional customer service. Prior to his time as a sales leader, he served as a consultant in McKinsey & Company’s Detroit office specializing in B2B sales and marketing. He graduated in 2005 from the University of Michigan with a BA in economics and again in 2012 with an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Michael was born and raised in metro Detroit and currently resides in Seattle. His passions include travel, with trips to more than 100 countries.

Marques Kirsch – Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Marques drives the technical vision behind Blue Nile’s platform. This role combines his two passions, solving tough technical problems and team building, to deliver best-in-class capabilities to our customers and partners. Previously Marques was VP, Product & Technology at Expedia Group. He began at Expedia as one of their first development interns in 2000. During that 20-year span he worked across the entire breadth of Expedia’s products, helped transform Expedia into a global technology company and migrated complex legacy systems into the cloud. Marques has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Math with a minor in Economics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. When not solving the next technical challenge, Marques and his partner can be found chasing their two children around a park or enjoying sports.

Derek Mullens – Chief Human Resources

Derek’s primary responsibility is ensuring that Blue Nile has the very best people, and that every employee is set up for success. He believes that: “We have a passionate and committed group that wants to leave their mark and own a part of the company’s success. We give them the tools to do just that.” Derek spends his free time skiing on both water and snow and working on his troubled relationship with golf.

Anita Natarajan – SVP, International

Anita runs the International Business at Blue Nile and is focused on driving strategy, marketing and operations to grow the Blue Nile brand and delight customers in 40+ countries. Before joining Blue Nile in May 2020, Anita ran the global airports business at Uber, growing it as a profit engine for the rides business. Prior to Uber, Anita was VP of Sales Operations at A Place for Mom, a senior living marketplace, where in addition to operations she focused her time on partnerships with healthcare providers to improve continuity of care for seniors. Before that, Anita was a project leader at Boston Consulting Group working in travel, healthcare, retail consumer strategy and non-profits. She started her career as an engineer at IBM automating chip design for servers and games processors. Anita holds an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. In her spare time, Anita enjoys traveling, cooking, dabbling in occasional dancing and hiking with her husband and adorable cockapoo Pumpkin.

Dave Olsen – SVP, Strategy, Analytics and Retail

Dave is responsible for Blue Nile’s corporate strategy team, analytics function and retail store network. In this role, he is focused on creating the absolute best omnichannel retail experience that allows Blue Nile customers to shop on their own terms. Before joining Blue Nile in 2019, Dave was a Partner with Boston Consulting Group in their consumer practice which focused on helping retailers and consumer packaged goods companies with their strategy development and commercial execution. Dave holds an M.B.A from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. In his free time, Dave enjoys golfing, skiing, reading and relaxing with his family.

Charlie Severn – VP, Brand Marketing

Charlie is responsible for setting Blue Nile’s brand vision and creating everyday moments that ensure customers find joy in discovering, giving and receiving handcrafted fine diamond jewelry for all occasions, big and small. Prior to Blue Nile, Charlie served as VP of Brand at A Place for Mom where he was responsible for overall brand management and development of the off-line media program. Throughout his career he has championed distinctive customer experiences across traditional consumer and e-commerce brands through leadership positions with Starbucks and Expedia. Charlie is a graduate of the University of Washington where he received a degree in business.

Katie Zimmerman - Chief Merchandising Officer

As Chief Merchandising Officer, Katie provides a thoughtful yet analytic approach to merchandising and sourcing to create a collection that ensures Blue Nile is an industry leader. Previously, Katie worked as Vice President of Merchandising at Zale's, a division of Signet Jewelers, where she began as an Assistant Buyer in 2002. In addition to growing revenue and expanding margins in multiple categories across fine jewelry and watches, she has successfully developed and launched over a dozen proprietary collections. Katie’s deep understanding of customer, and evolving trends across the category helped her build strategic partnerships with the industry’s leading suppliers and manufacturers, as well as with iconic designers and brands to bring relevant, current collections to customers. Katie is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin, where she studied textiles and apparel/retail merchandising. Katie loves spending time with her family and catering to her dog Melee in her spare time.
