Fine silver is 99.9% silver, which sounds lovely but is much more vulnerable to damage. The endurance and polish of sterling silver is what makes it so ideal for jewellery, especially sterling silver bracelets and rings.

Authentic sterling silver is one of the finest metals to make jewellery with. Sterling silver is mostly pure silver and a small portion of copper. The copper content makes the silver harder and also easier to work with on the jeweler's end. Pure silver does not make great jewellery, as it is too soft and not suitable for daily wear.
