30-Day Return Policy Within Canada

Our money back guarantee gives you time to make sure your purchase is perfect. If you need to return it for any reason, we'll happily provide you with an exchange or full refund.

You may return your item within 30 days of purchase, in original condition, except in the case of non-refundable special orders and engraved jewellery items (other than rings). Engraving fees, when applicable, are non-refundable.

Our Canadian Return Process

Our commitment to you does not end at delivery. All items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days from when they were shipped, free-of-charge and no questions asked. The process is easy: Simply request a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) on orders shipped within Canada by following the steps outlined below. You will then receive a fully insured, free shipping label via email within one business day. Please note: Two complimentary returns are allowed per customer, per year.

To expedite an exchange for a different product, we recommend returning the original item for a refund and placing a new order. Please allow two weeks for your refund to be processed.

If a package or item delivered to you arrives damaged, please refuse the shipment or call us immediately at 888-565-7609. Please retain all packing materials unless instructed otherwise by Blue Nile. Claims for damaged or missing items must be reported immediately or within five days of receipt of your order. Blue Nile is not responsible for lost or damaged returned shipments.

How To Prepare A Return or Exchange

To return a diamond or jewellery item to Blue Nile, follow the process below:

For all returns call 888-565-7609 and you will be given a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA). Write the RMA on the return sticker found at the bottom of your original invoice and place the sticker on the outside of the box you are returning.

When packaging your return, we recommend you use the original shipping box, including all original packaging and collateral material. If your item was delivered with a diamond report and that report is not returned, you will be liable for the USD $150 (or equivalent amount in CAD) replacement cost. For security reasons, do not write Blue Nile anywhere on the outside of the box.

After Your Return Has Been Received by Blue Nile

Upon receiving your return, the item will be reviewed by our Quality Assurance department. Please note that items showing signs of wear or those that have been altered, resized (by a jeweller other than Blue Nile), or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return. Returns with no Blue Nile return code, and packages that are improperly packaged or uninsured will be refused receipt. Please allow an average of 2-3 business days for review. We will contact you should we have any questions or if you require a repair quote.

For refunds, please allow an additional 7-10 business days to issue your credit and another 2-8 business days for your credit card company to post against your account. Any duty or tax charged to your original order will be automatically refunded to you where applicable. Returns for repairs and resizing will be conducted locally in Canada.

If you are expecting a return shipment, you will receive an email once the outbound shipment date has been set. You will also receive a shipping confirmation email the day of the outbound shipment. Returns for repairs and resizing will be conducted locally in Canada.
