November is a month that’s filled with celebration: It marks the first onslaught of holiday parties, tons of quality family time, and—if you’re like me, a true shopper at heart—Black Friday.
Not only is it my favorite day of the year to find deals on all the gifts I need, but I use Black Friday as an excuse to splurge on pieces that I might otherwise shy away from. Because my style is squarely minimalist (as in, I’m much more likely to opt for a chunky sweater than a sequin dress), I often have trouble deciding what to wear to every single holiday party on my calendar. But this year, I have a plan: I’m going to stock up on sparkly jewelry to make my otherwise understated outfits that much more festive.
I’m not one to pile on jewels, but the moment I saw this diamond bracelet, complete with 60 diamonds in varying shapes and sizes, I audibly gasped. I paired it with a slightly more understated diamond bracelet, which features 11 graduated diamonds. I’d stack them together for date night, but they‘re both equally striking on their own.
I originally scooped up both of these diamond rings for my mom—she just retired after 40 years —but I’m thinking of keeping the eternity ring for myself. She’ll never know, right?
This halo pendant is perfect for everyday wear, but it’ll look equally stunning with a pair of diamond earrings, too.
See? It’s a match made in (a very, very sparkly) heaven. I love the way they catch the light.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a running countdown to Black Friday, and this year, instead of spending my turkey coma waiting in long lines, I plan to settle in on my couch with some hot chocolate and my computer. It’s the ideal way to find the best deals on gifts for my friends and family. My best advice: Don’t just cross everyone else off your list. Get something memorable for yourself, too. If you ask me, self-gifting is the ultimate form of self-care.
