Love it when the light hits just right!The pictures definitely make the color of the aquamarine gemstone appear to be very strong - and it is in certain light. As the gemstone is slightly opaque, it doesn't appear as vibrant 100%. Yet, when the light hits it - it looks awesome. (as with most gemstones) In any case, my wife loves it and it does exceed my expectations.

She loves it but don't expect too blue a stone!
My wife was very pleased with this Mother's Day present from our 5-year-old daughter (chosen with a little help from Daddy...) and she now wears it all the time! I would just add a word of caution: The stone is definitely not as blue as it appears on the website! In fact, the bluey tinge is hard to notice, but it remains a very nice, simple but elegant necklace.

Beautiful piece!
I am quite pleased with this necklace. It is true to the picture on the Blue Nile site. I would, however, like the chain to be a little bit longer.
