This is the thinnest ring I would go. I can't imagine how the 3mm would look. I'm 5'-9", 185 lbs. This ring is a great bang for your buck.

the wedding band was the perfect size! im a skinny guy so it looked well with my skinny fingers... if i were bigger than i would have gone for a 5mm for sure.. but the 4mm suits me perfectly

I had a white gold ring of similar dimensions but I like platinum so I ordered this ring. Compared to white gold this has better shine.
The ring itself is wonderful. It has a pleasingly substantial presence about it. Shipping and the presentation (the packaging, box, etc) have a quality service feel. Sizing instructions, even with the printed out sheet, don't appear to be very accurate. Of the 3 rings that I've ordered over the past year, all 3 have been looser than anticipated as compared to the printed sizing sheet.

This ring is PERFECT for men who do not like to wear jewelry or who have never worn jewelry. My husband is a rancher and needless to say, not to fond of accessories. But he loves this ring! My wife and I have complimentary rings. Her's is 3 mm and mine is 4 mm. We like a traditional ring and prefer platinim over gold. Combined with her diamond, also from Blue Nile, the rings show under stated class.
This was a great value and the ring is very nice. It actually looks flatter in person, and the edges are slightly sharper as well. However, my husband is very happy with the fit.
A Simple Wedding Ring
This ring is simple, elegant, and comfortable. The ring has a bright shine which has faded a bit as it wears- but my husband loves the ring more now than when he first tried it on. If you are looking for a ring that doesn't show wear, this probably isn't the ring for you, but we have fallen in love with the character of this ring. This isn't a bulky ring which some men may prefer, but my husband wears it proudly and it looks great on his hand.

The ring arrived promptly and in excellent condition. The ring fits well and has a great feel to it. Plus, the platinum band was a good deal compared to other stores. I would recommend it.

I'm very happy with this ring. The width is good, not to narrow or wide, and I find it very comfortable. I havent worn any rings in about 20 years and was worried due to some of the other comments, but it does not pinch or feel like there are sharp edges.

Perfect Wedding Band
We are more than happy with the Platinum 4 mm ring! It is a perfect size! Not too wide or too thin. I love the simple look of it. More than happy with the service provided also. Had to return one and get a smaller one and it was absolutely no problem. Did buy with PayPal (which is always so easy). Did not know that when refund from PayPal goes into PayPal account and you then have to transfer to your account that you withdrew from. Once I figured that out, no problem at all.

This ring was everything i expected -- i priced out the same platinum ring at several local stores and it was up to 3 times more expensive. I had the ring redone into a matte finish on the outside (inside and edges remined high polished). Now it looks amazing.
4mm is not a man's ring
not exactly what we wanted seem really thin like a women's ring. we had to return it.

Service was very good. We also purchased a beautiful engagement ring from you, but my fiance lost it after three months! Though heartbroken, and uninsured, we will eventually replace it when we can afford it. We had to save alot of clams to buy it in the first place! It was perfect and flawless. I was unsure about the width and was thinking to get the 5mm but we went to tiffanys and tried the 4mm verse the 6mm and the 4mm was perfect. So I ordered it and was not disappointed, my family liked it also! For a platinum band this was the best deal...simple elegance.

The ring was a great fit. Please note, you might let shoppers know that when returning a product by registered mail they must use paper tape to seal the box as well as removing any tape from the previous shipping. The USPS will only ship registered mail this way. I had my package returned to me because I used regular clear packing tape and the person who helped me at the P.O. forgot to tell me that this was incorrect. Hope this will help another person!

Definitely met my expectations. Ring was a size too small when it arrived, I shipped it back and had another in about a week. Great customer service. I ordered a ring from BN a few years ago and the ring box was noticeably nicer (cherry wood) so I was a bit disappointed with the blue cardboard box this ring shipped with, but it gets the job done.

This ring looks amazing. It's got a nice sheen to it, but it's not too shiny that it looks cheap. It has a flatter surface than a normal ring, so it complements your finger well. The ring doesn't tarnish quickly. It does seem to get scoff marks fairly easily, but all rings tend to do that. I did purchase a polishing cloth which I haven't tried yet, but I'm sure that cloth will help buff out some of the scoff marks.

There's a certain ring to them....
These rings are much flatter, and in my opinion, much better looking than most of the simple platinum bands that you will find elsewhere. Also, after scouring the Internet for platinum bands like this, the prices offered by Blue Nile seem to be on the lower end of the spectrum. Plus, their customer service was quite friendly and very professional when I called with a question.

Great wedding band!
My fiancee never wears jewelry but this band's flat design fits very comfortably on his finger. I had several questions on both of our wedding band purchases and also had to make two returns in an effort to find the right bands. Blue Nile's customer service was fantastic through the whole process! When I called their customer service number a very helpful rep picked up on the second ring. It was great not to have to wade through a complex menu or listen to a "please hold" sales pitch for 10 minutes before getting a live person on the phone. The return credit to my account was very quick. Blue Nile's products are beautiful and affordable.
Platinum is nice, but shows scratches
The platinum is beautiful, but scratches easily. That was the only somewhat disappointing aspect of the ring. But other than the scratches and wear and tear after only a week of wearing it, it's a fine piece and would definitely recommend Blue Nile to my friends and family.

After resizing was perfect
We got this ring for my husband and needed to get it resized elsewhere because he needed a quarter size. It pinched the skin at the base of the finger before it was resized, but after it fit perfectly and he now forgets he's even wearing it.
