About the Reactor Brand
Born out of Jimmy Olmes' desire to design without constrictions, a Reactor timepiece is a sports watch Olmes claims a watch collector can kick around over the weekend. A founding partner of the Freestyle watch brand, Olmes stumbled upon his creation's name, "Reactor," while attempting to incorporate Tritium (a bi-product of nuclear reactors) into the functionality of the built-for-performance watch noted by surfers, weekend warriors, and sports enthusiasts everywhere. Superluminova (not Tritium) illuminates his rugged Reactor watches. Since 2003, Olmes has believed in making timepieces that are built for tough excursions and every-day use, even at the expense of pushing for a "better marketing position."
