Story: Fortune Surprise
I had planned this surprise a week before. I bought a bag of fortune cookies at the grocery store. I printed a fortune that said "Sheryl will you marry me". I took one of the fortune cookies, placed it in a moist towel and microwaved it for a minute. I was able to open the cookie, remove the fortune and replace with my own. On the morning of the 19th, Sheryl and I went grocery shopping. I told her I would make a stir fry for dinner and picked up the ingredients. That evening I made the dinner. After dinner I asked her if she was ready for dessert. I brought out two fortune cookies, giving her the one with the special fortune. Sheryl opened her cookie and looked at the fortune. It took a few seconds for her to realize what the fortune said, she looked puzzled at me and then saw I had the ring box in my hand. She was totally taken by surprise, said yes, and loves her ring.
