Low quality.

Poor quality. Doesn't look right or lay right on her neck. I expected better from Blue Nile---definately not worth the price.

Great mix of edginess and classic beauty

I'm wearing this necklace right now and really love it. Because the baroque pearls vary shape and size (no huge size variations, but somewhat), this necklace looks a little edgier/funkier to me than your typical three-strand with same-sized round pearls. I think that's an advantage -- it looks unique.I work in a somewhat conservative office and have worn this to work with sweaters and dresses. Good value, overall. I will say that I don't love the clasp, but it's not difficult to work with if I turn the necklace around when I put it on.

Do your homework

First, Blue Nile performed flawlessly and the necklace was close to what I expected. I bought it for my wife and she hated it immediately. Now, I could have returned it but then we got into this whole discussion about "what a gift is" and... ok. The point is, future purchaser, find out if she doesn't like three strands vs. one... evidently, it's a big deal. She felt the necklace made her neck look fat (it didn't) and a one strand, an inch longer would have been more attractive., Who knew? It was a mess, but again, a personal issue more than a product issue.

The necklace was purchased for a Christmas gift and the feed back that I received from the recepient was phenomenal! She talked about the quality and how gorgeous they were. It's just what I wanted to hear!
