Diamond Grading Report: Your Guarantee of Quality

As your guarantee of quality and value, all of our loose diamonds purchased separately or through the ring or earring builder, come accompanied by a diamond grading report from the GIA or AGSL. These unbiased third parties detail the cut, color, clarity, and carat weight of your loose diamond.

Your diamond will come with one of these three types of grading report:

Diamond Grading Report or a Diamond Dossier®, issued by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), or a

Diamond Quality Document, issued by the American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL).

The GIA and AGSL are the two most widely respected authorities on diamonds, so Blue Nile only offers diamonds with grading reports from these laboratories.

For each diamond on the site, we'll note whether a diamond is accompanied by a GIA or AGSL report. You can print a copy of your diamond's grading report from the Web and send it to your insurance company, and your diamond can be insured from the moment you receive it.
