Blue Nile reserves the right to change or modify any of these Terms and Conditions or any policy or guideline of this site at any time, and in its sole discretion. Any changes or modification will be effective immediately upon posting of the revisions on this site. Product Availability and PricingYou may choose to view pricing and complete your order in any one of the following currencies: British pound, Euro, Bulgarian lev, Czech koruna, Danish krone, Hungarian forint, Norwegian krone, Polish zloty, Romanian leu, Swedish krona, or Swiss franc.
If you're interested in a piece of jewellery that is currently on back order, call us and we can tell you when the item will be back in stock. Sometimes with the volume of orders we receive, an item can go out of stock before we're able to post notification to the site. If this happens, we will notify you personally so we can help you find another item.
Infrequently, data, including prices, may be inaccurately displayed on our site due to system or typographical errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and we do not honour inaccurate or erroneous prices. If a product's listed price is lower than its actual price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping the product or cancel the order and notify you of such cancellation. If the order has been shipped, you agree to either return the product or pay the difference between the actual and charged prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. Sales and Price Reductions
At Blue Nile, we always offer the best value by providing the lowest possible price. We do not negotiate prices on our products and all of our prices are final.
Purchases made through our European Web sites may be shipped to addresses in the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Importer of Record
When ordering from Blue Nile, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Title and risk of loss for items ordered will transfer to the recipient upon delivery to the common carrier in the United States.
Prior to delivery to the recipient, the shipment may be subject to customs fees, import duties, taxes, and other charges of the destination country where applicable. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility. For further details, read about Customs, Duties and Taxes.
Value Added Tax (VAT)
Value added tax (VAT) will be applied for all orders placed on the UK website where applicable. The VAT amount is calculated based on the shipping destination of your order. Please note that this charge will appear in the shopping basket after you have entered a shipping destination. For the rates that will be applied, please see the VAT glossary.
The UK VAT Retail Export Scheme allows the VAT amount to be reimbursed to customers when they purchase goods in the EU and then export them outside the EU. However, orders from Blue Nile are ineligible for the VAT Retail Export Scheme because Blue Nile is an internet-based mail-order company and is ineligible to participate.
For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:
- Credit cards: Use your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card.
- Bank wire: Arrange payment through your bank and receive a 1.5% discount.
- For orders under EUR 15,000 or GBP 10,000, we accept Paypal payment.
We do not sell or accept gift certificates on our UK Website.
Note that orders shipping to Switzerland will need to have a minimum order value of CHF 180 and orders shipping to Norway will need to have a minimum order value of NOK 1,150. There are no order minimums for countries that are part of the EU.
All shipments are fully insured. That means that your order is always shipped risk-free.
For orders shipping to the following countries the delivery insurance (or asset protection) will be provided by a premier global insurance company: Australia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Guam, Hong Kong (SAR), Hungary, Japan, Lithuania, Latvia, Macau, Mexico, Malta, Northern Mariana Islands, New Zealand, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan and Virgin Islands. A fee of 0.20% of the value of your order will be applied during the checkout process. This insurance protects your order from the time it leaves Blue Nile to when it arrives at your door. This policy is an agreement between the customer and the insurance company. Details about the insurance company and claims process will be provided to you, following your purchase, in your order confirmation email.
For added security, a signature may be required upon delivery of your Blue Nile orders. Please make arrangements for someone to be available at the shipping destination to sign for receipt.
Alternate Shipping Addresses
If you prefer, we can ship your order to an address other than your billing address. As a security precaution, we require that your alternate shipping address be on file with your credit card company. This step helps protect you from fraudulent charges to your credit card.
When you order a loose diamond or custom-built jewellery, we ship it to you with the accompanying diamond grading report (also called a diamond certificate). These grading reports are detailed documents created by diamond grading experts at one of two highly-respected diamond laboratories - making it very expensive to replace a diamond grading report. Because of this, we require each diamond grading report to be included with each returned diamond.
If you do not include both the diamond grading report and appraisal with your return, you will be charged a replacement fee.

We are happy to provide a broad range of high-quality diamonds from Canadian sources.
Customs, Duties and Taxes
The customs office of the destination country may impose customs fees, import duties, taxes, and other charges to your international order where applicable. These additional charges required for customs clearance are the responsibility of the recipient. When your order arrives at customs either our shipper, FedEx, or the customs office will contact you directly to arrange for the payment of any charges that may be due.
The table below shows estimated duty and tax rates. Please be advised that Blue Nile has no control over these charges. The actual amount charged by customs may differ from the rates below. Country of origin information for your order can be provided by our Diamond and Jewellery Consultants to assist in estimating import duties. Please contact your local customs office for further details.

Order Cancellation & Return Policy
Blue Nile offers customers 30 days from the day their order is shipped to cancel or return their order. If you wish to cancel or return your purchase, simply call a diamond and jewellery consultant at 00800 2583 6453 from Sweden, 0800 206 1160 from the United Kingdom, or 00353 1 899 1351 for all other EU countries for a return authorisation code and instructions. Note that once your item has shipped, your order cancellation will take effect after a) it is returned to Blue Nile, and b) our Quality Assurance analyses your diamond and verifies that it is in its original condition.
To keep our prices low, we do not allow comparison purchasing. Comparison purchasing is the act of buying several of the same item, keeping the one you like best, and then returning the remainder. This causes undue restocking and inventory overhead and can be very costly. Information on Our Website
At Blue Nile, we make every attempt to ensure that our online catalogue is as accurate and complete as possible. In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, colour and size may vary slightly.
