Fabulous "push" present for wife
I bought this as a "push" present for my wife after the birth of our daughter, a September "sapphire" baby. My wife's birthstone is the diamond and the pendant is like the diamond is watching over the sapphire below, mother/daughter. The sapphire was very blue. The whole piece is very classy and met my goal of buying something that was nice but also great for everyday wearing. My wife gets compliments all the time. If I had gotten her a sapphire baby shoes pendant, I doubt my wife would still consider wearing it in 10 years. The simple design enables her to wear it years after our baby is grown and hopefully we'll find appropriate stones to add to it once we have more kids.

My wife loves it. The quality for the price is excellent. I will buy again from Blue Nile.

The sapphire is truly gorgeous. The color is perfect - not too light and not too dark. The diamond, in all honesty, is a little bigger than I thought. Trust me, I knew it would be on the small size (and it is), but I expected it to be smaller than what it is. The chain isn't great. It is very flimsy and longer than what I prefer. I did put it on a box-style chain that was a lot shorter and it is so perfect now! I wish I had more outfits to wear it with! I truly love it.
The sapphire was beautiful and she really loved the design. I would have preferred a larger necklace.
