The setting is fine, but the chain should be a little bit more sturdy.

We have never been dissapointed in our Blue Nile purchases and this one was no exception. The pendant came exactly as described and the diamond quality is better than expected.

I ended up returning the pendant because it kept turning over. The side seen the most was the backside.

I really love the necklace. Only thing is the diamond rolls on the chain and is often upside down. I try to make sure the chain is not twisted before putting it on, but it does not seem to make a difference.

While Blue Nile's diamonds are impeccable, we were slightly disappointed with the Double-Bail Solitaire Pendant Setting as it dwarfs the diamond...but it does let the light come in and make the diamond radiant. Had we been able to see the diamond in this setting in person, we would not have chosen it...that's part of the gamble with Blue Nile, but with all of that said, we are still satisfied with the overall purchase...a 3.5-4 out of 5.

I was looking into a same one at Tiffany with at least .50ct. It was way over my budget, and besides the stone sticks out on the backside and it hurts your skin. I asked Blue Nile how their bazel settings are designed. The culet does not protrude on the backside! I love it. If the diamond is smaller, it may flip down a bit when you wear, but my necklace is perfectly fine and looks beautiful. I've been wearing this for the past 3 months, with a small baby often pulling it, and the chain is pretty durable. Customer service was very helpful and quick to get back to my questions on email. I am very pleased. Check out their friends refferal program or specials they have every once in a while to get some discounts. You get better quality at a lot better price on diamonds here, and they are conflict free guarranteed and from trusted sources with certification. That was also important for me.

The diamond was beautiful, but the chain left alot to be desired. I expected a Tiffany's quality necklace, since that's normally where I shop. I didn't because I wanted a bigger diamond--got it, but was surprised at the chain...lackluster and looks tarnished.
