Broken Down Proposal
On June 10th of this year Kyle took me hiking on Mary's Peak. After the hike we went back to Jessie (a 96' Jeep Cherokee, Kyle's pride and joy) and Kyle said he had to check the engine, because something was wrong. This was quite normal, since The Jeep is usually quite stubborn. Kyle asked me to go and get the gloves from the back. I did so, and sat back in the passenger's seat. Kyle then asked for another glove. I looked, but couldn't find one. Then Kyle asked for the whole tool box. Quite annoyed at this point, I brought the toolbox to Kyle. Kyle then asked for my help, and asked her to pass the pliers. On the pliers was my engagement ring. It had been on the gloves, in the toolbox and I had missed it four times!

Kyle said that a toolbox was a metaphor for life, and tools are the skills, traits that make a person who they are. He said the greatest tool in his life was my love.

Kyle was just pretending that the car was broken, however on the way home the front brakes froze up and we had to pull over at a gas station in Philomath. We celebrated on gas station snacks for several hours while we waited for the tow truck. It was perfect!
