Our Proposal Story: Fish in the Sea
Short Background: We have been together for almost 5 years through job changes, moves across the country and back. One evening I received a TEXT.. yes you read that correctly a TEXT! It said; We have a plans Saturday night, I have made arrangements for the kids. Now coming from the man who I was 100% sure only knew how to use a phone to set a Tee time for golf and text me, I was in total shock and thought he had been in the sun to long. Fast forward to Saturday. My amazing boyfriend (at the time) took us (myself and the 3 kids) to the mall DURING SPRING BREAK! OYY!! Now I am really thinking he has been hit in the head with a loose golf ball. After and exhausting trip to the mall we went to a restaurant that has fish tanks and some beautiful fish. ;;Side note;; I adore fish and can spend hours upon hours watching them.-- back on track here. short-ish-version- Our service was less than par at the restaurant. The entire staff was in on the bit, At one point my b.f. asked if there was a show or any time we could watch the fish get fed, Our server acted like he had NO CLUE as to what a feeding was and proceeded to ask about desert. less then 10 Seconds later I noticed out of the corner of my eye the fish go crazy and a diver has jumped into the water. I instantly think we are in time for a show, The staff has cleared everyone out of the way so everyone can watch. At this point I am so excited about the fish I almost cant stand it. Exciting Right?! I turn back around to watch this and the diver holds up a sign that is asking for me to marry him!! My amazing fiancee gets down on one knee and asks for me to marry response was SHUTTTT UP!!!! quickly followed by YES! We were able to get it together long enough to take a pic in front of the tanks and call our family. We spent the rest of the evening on the boardwalk enjoying our special moment.
