I had hand-written clues, along with some additional thoughts or feelings to share, that pointed her to various date locations (most fun date, first kiss, first date, first "like a teenager again" date, and first date I said I loved her). I told her the night before that I had an activity planned, but kept her in the dark..I called her in the morning after I put the first clue in her mailbox and told her about the scavenger hunt, the first letter, and the time to leave.

Some clues were simply posted, and some had her ask for a red envelope from an emplyee at the location--just a little bit out of her comfort zone. I was about 10 minutes ahead of her posting the clues. At the last location, a final clue pointed her to a last envelope with a heart-felt letter. I spied on her and as soon as she finished reading, I sprung from my hiding spot and proposed with just the 2 of us. The last location was an art gallery near the lobby of a hotel, and the front desk worker that pointed her to the gallery location gave us 2 free martinis to celebrate!
