The Akoya is the classic pearl for strands of all lengths. It has a cream body color and is often highlighted with rosé overtones. A secure 18k white gold clasp brings out the white luster of the pearls.

Freshwater pearls are generally less uniformly round and most are smaller in size than Akoya pearls, but they look much like the Akoya, and are available at about 1/5 the cost. A secure 14k white gold clasp brings out the white luster of the pearls.
