New York Sales Tax
Blue Nile collects sales tax on orders shipped to addresses within Washington State and New York State. Sales tax within each of these states may vary based on the final destination of the package.

On April 14, 2008, New York State enacted a new statute that requires online retailers based outside of the state to collect sales tax on items being sent into the state. While the law goes into effect June 1, 2008, it is currently being challenged as unconstitutional. As required by the law, Blue Nile must still collect sales tax on all items sent to New York.
