These policies apply to bluenile.com web site orders to be shipped to Australia, China, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, US Virgin Islands, and all other countries outside the U.S. to which we may ship. International Shipments
We are proud to ship to customers in many countries around the globe. View our Where We Ship page for the full list of countries and currencies that we support.

Importer of Record
When ordering from Blue Nile, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Title and risk of loss for items ordered will transfer to the recipient upon delivery to the common carrier in the United States.

Prior to delivery to the recipient, the shipment may be subject to the customs fees, import duties, taxes, and other charges of the destination country. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility. For further details, read about Customs, Duties and Taxes.

Restrictions
Items eligible to be shipped under our international shipping policy are based on the destination country.

For shipments destined for Australia, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan and US Virgin Islands, all products on our U.S. Web site are eligible with the exception of the following products:

  • Watches
  • Polishing Cloths
  • Cleaning Solutions

For shipments destined for China, only loose diamonds are eligible for purchase.

Shipping
All international orders will be shipped, with no additional charge, via FedEx International Priority®. Please note that the arrival times listed on the Web site apply to U.S. shipping addresses only. Estimates of the international shipping delivery times can be provided by one of our Diamond and Jewelry Consultants at service@bluenile.com or +1-206-336-7900.

Asset Protection
Asset Protection will be provided by a premier global insurance company for orders shipped internationally. A fee of 0.24% of the value of your order will be applied during the checkout process. This protects your order from the time it leaves Blue Nile to when it arrives at your door. This policy is an agreement between the customer and the insurance company. Details about the insurance company and claims process will be provided to you, following your purchase, in your order confirmation email.

Order Payment
Blue Nile accepts payment in any of the following currencies: Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Swiss Franc, Chinese Yuan, Hong Kong Dollar, Japanese Yen, Macau Pataca, Mexican Peso, Norwegian Krone, New Taiwan Dollar, New Zealand Dollar, Singapore Dollar, or United States Dollar.

Orders shipping to Australia, China, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, New Zealand, Norway, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, or the US Virgin Islands must meet a minimum retail order value. Please see the table below for the order minimum per currency.

For orders shipping to Australia, China, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, New Zealand, Norway, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, US Virgin Islands, we offer the following payment methods:

  • Credit card: Use your Visa or MasterCard.
  • Bank wire: Arrange payment through your bank and receive a 1.5% discount. The bank wire discount is applied before the shipping insurance charge is added.
  • Other payment methods: PayPal (USD orders only).
For orders shipping to Mexico, payment may be made using bank wire only. There is a 1.5% discount for payments made via bank wire.

Customs, Duties and Taxes
The customs office of the destination country may impose customs fees, import duties, taxes, and other charges to your international order. These additional charges required for customs clearance are the responsibility of the recipient. These charges and the customs policies vary widely from country to country. Blue Nile has no control over these charges and cannot provide any estimates for fees expected. Please contact your local customs office for further details.

Limitations
Please note that products shipped internationally may not be designed in accordance with destination country standards, specifications, and labeling requirements. The customer is responsible for determining that products can be lawfully and legally imported into the destination country.

Privacy
Please note that international shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. Additionally, information about your order, shipment and products contained therein may be communicated to our shippers and the customs authorities as part of the customs clearance process.

Returns
To help ensure you make the right choice, we offer a very flexible return policy. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can return any item without custom engraving in its original condition within 30 days of the date of shipment for a refund or an exchange.
