Juliette, Diamond and Jewelry Consultant
With Blue Nile since 1999
"Customer service is a department of people with extraordinary knowledge, talent and dedication to helping customers. As you walk through the call center, you will hear a buzz of activity. You can hear Diamond and Jewelry Consultants on the phone answering questions about diamonds, jewelry, orders or tracking a package with FedEx. You can see Diamond and Jewelry Consultants clicking away on their keyboards responding to the hundreds of questions we get via e-mail as well. The atmosphere in the call center is upbeat, friendly, and busy. We are the envy of the rest of the company with our theme potlucks like Taco Tuesday and breakfast treats like Krispy Kremes. The Customer Service department is definitely a festive environment to work in, especially around the holidays!"
Jesse, Assistant Controller
With Blue Nile since 2004
"What drew me to Blue Nile a few years ago was a unique business model, a successful, dedicated and passionate team and the chance to be part of a business that was doing something new and different……changing the way consumers thought about the diamond and jewelry buying process. Although a lot has changed over the years, the fundamentals are the same and these are the same reasons that make me excited about working at Blue Nile today.

It is very rewarding to be part of such a successful business. I continue to learn every day and am motivated and challenged by the talented, driven people that surround me at all levels of the organization."
Molly, Diamond Buyer

"I am in my sixth year at Blue Nile and I continue to be inspired everyday by the intelligence and passion my colleagues bring to the table. Our obsession with the customer experience is unprecedented and continually raises the bar for me in my approach to jewelry selection and sourcing. Blue Nile has helped me to grow significantly in my career by urging me to innovate and actively take a role in the direction and success of our business. I love that I get to work with such an amazing group of people."
Gary, Bench Jeweler: Setter
With Blue Nile since 2007
"Working for Blue Nile has been an interesting experience for me. I started just before the peak season in November. The prospect of setting center stones in platinum and 18k settings was very appealing. With 30+ years of experience I was very confident about my abilities as a diamond setter. Well, let me just say the first week was very challenging for me. Learning what has been perfected over the years at Blue Nile - the quality standards and the new techniques for fancy shape stones - seemed like an overwhelming goal. But thanks to the patience of the Production Leads and the other setters in the department, I was able to raise my skill level and I am happy to say, I feel my best work lies ahead of me.

The quality standards here at Blue Nile are the highest I have ever experienced in the jewelry business. It is a joy to work on such high grade stones and I truly look forward to work every day and the challenges presented."
Josh, QA and Release Manager
With Blue Nile since 1999
"Blue Nile has a core desire to see its employees succeed and empowers them to grow with and share in the company's success. Each employee is highly valued by upper management and it is a joy to come to work each day knowing that my contributions to the company and our customers are shared and recognized by everyone throughout the organization."
Tatiana, Junior Designer
With Blue Nile since 2007
"Blue Nile is a company unlike any other I've worked at. Each and every person I've talked to has such passion, commitment, and excitement towards what he or she does - it is inspiring just to hear what other people are working on around the office. It is motivating to come in every day, and to see that no matter how much is going on, everyone is smiling. It seems like working here is more than 'just a job' for most people, and I couldn't agree more!

My last position was at a small company, so everything I did was very hands on. I was worried that I'd lose that by coming to Blue Nile, but in fact I feel like I get a chance to be even MORE hands on. Everyone's input is equally listened to, and everyone is encouraged to come up with new ideas. I love seeing the evolution of an idea. From concept, through creative, development, and then finally seeing it integrated into the site. For every new change to the site, just knowing how much dedication and thought was put into it is amazing. We really truly DO want to give the customers the best possible experience, and we're not just saying that."
