Our 30-Day return policy gives you plenty of time to consider your purchase. You can return any item in its original condition within 30 days of the date of shipment for a refund or exchange. It's that simple.

Extended Holiday Return Policy

To ensure your recipient will love your holiday gifts, items shipped from Blue Nile between November 15th and December 15th are eligible for our extended holiday return policy and can be returned to Blue Nile through January 16th, 2015. Our extended holiday return policy applies to items in original condition; the same as our normal 30-day return policy.

Cancelled Orders & Returns

To return your purchase to Blue Nile, call 00800 2583 6453 from Germany, 0800 206 1160 from the United Kingdom, or 00353 1 899 1351 for all other EU countries to speak with a Diamond and Jewellery Consultant. You will receive a Return Authorisation Code as well as detailed instructions for returning your order.

Important considerations:

  • Return all the original packaging. You may be liable for the replacement cost of the packaging and collateral material. For example, the diamond certificate is unique and carries a EUR 150.00 replacement fee.
  • Your Commercial Invoice will be provided to you in draft form by one of our Diamond and Jewellery Consultants. Please complete and make three copies to expedite processing of your shipment with an international carrier.
  • Address your package. You will receive the address of a special destination for returns. For security reasons, do not write Blue Nile anywhere on the outside of the box.
  • Call before returning items. Any unauthorised, improperly packaged, or non-insured packages will be returned to sender. Items that have been damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return.

Once we receive your returned item and it is accepted, your refund or new item will be processed in just a few days. Upon receiving your return, the item will be reviewed by our Quality Assurance department. Please note that items showing signs of wear, altered, resized (by a jeweller other than Blue Nile), or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return. Returns with no Blue Nile return code, and packages that are improperly packaged or uninsured will be refused.
