Start planning a proposal to remember with this beautiful engagement ring, crafted from striking platinum it showcases your choice of centre diamond in a double-claw setting.
Princess cut is the way to go - it's roughly half the cost of an otherwise identical solitaire.I Don't go below F color. My wife's diamond (D color) is *so* much whiter and brighter than every other stone you see on the street. You trade off in size for quality.- Don't go above VVS2 unless you're driven solely by ego. My wife's diamond is VS1, the next grade down. Even the imperfection of a VS2 was hard to see with 10x magnification. I have OCD and I can almost assure you that you won't see the imperfections of a VS1 or higher stone unless you completed gemology school.- THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "IDEAL CUT" IN ANYTHING BUT A SOLITAIRE. - Blue Nile was by *far* the cheapest compared to retail stores. Like, over $1K on just the stone, without even discussing the setting. Super awesome delivery, free resizing for a year, terrific e-mail communication, great telephone customer service/support. WAY better than buying retail.

Our engagement was a little different than the norm in that I was allowed to pick out my own ring. I went with a .91 carat princess cut with H color and VVS2 clarity. The stone is absolutely beautiful. Couldn't have been more pleased. The setting is a little more knife edged than what I expected but platinum which is what I wanted. Have gotten so many compliments on this ring and couldn't be happier overall.

She loves her engagement ring. The diamond is very clear and shiny. The ring design is beautiful. The entire process was very smooth and the ring arrived in the mail without any problems. I am very pleased and my fiancee is very happy with her ring. Everyone has commented how beautiful it is and how clear the diamond is.
